Woodland Presbyterian School, a co-ed, 2K-8, independent Christian school, seeks a part-time (5 hours/day for 12 months) Administrative Assistant to work as a member of Woodland’s team. This position will ideally begin training in November 2021. The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Head of School and works closely with all faculty, staff, administration, and all stakeholders of Woodland. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for many general office management tasks and assists with internal and external communication, marketing, and event planning.


The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of integrity and have related work experience. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required. He/she must be creative, detail oriented, well-organized, warm, friendly, and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced independent Christian school environment. Strong computer and technology skills are necessary (Excel, Word, data-entry). 

Job Description: 

The Administrative Assistant supports the administrative team, including the Head of School. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for many office management tasks including maintaining office supplies and equipment, student cumulative records, and sending and receiving student transcripts. The Administrative Assistant often answers and transfers phone calls, helps coordinate and communicate with prospective families, faculty, staff, parents, and students. This position also helps plan and coordinate events that take place throughout the school year.
