Marist School is an independent, Catholic day school that seeks to develop the whole person in the image of Christ. Marist’s mission is advanced through the communal pursuit of excellence in academic, religious, extracurricular, leadership, and service programs. Marist enrolls approximately 1,100 students in grades 7-12.


The Office for Institutional Advancement (OIA), which consists of Development, Alumni Engagement, Communications, and Advancement Services, promotes philanthropy to advance the mission and priorities of Marist School. The OIA is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Advancement Services Manager to join its team. The Advancement Services Manager is an integral member of the Advancement Services team, providing a full range of support to the Director of Advancement Services, including assisting in the oversight of The Raiser’s Edge (RE) database, maintaining data integrity, and providing support to the Office for Institutional Advancement, Business Office, and other departments within Marist School. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and experience in The Raiser’s Edge.


  • Under the guidance of the Director of Advancement Services, design and generate customized queries, reports, and exports, including but not limited to grant reports; endowed fund reports; Annual Fund, capital, and special project reports; solicitation lists; phonathon data; mailing and invitation lists; and donor and volunteer lists.
  • Complete entry and acknowledgment of gifts and pledges received in the mail, online, and via stock, including but not limited to Annual Fund, capital, and special projects, endowment, memorial, and restricted annual gifts.
  • Post all gifts to The Financial Edge, generate and organize daily gift entry and post reports, and deliver gifts to the Business Office. Execute gift adjustments with the Business Office as necessary. Conduct monthly reconciliation with the Business Office for all donations.
  • Serve as liaison with all matching and employee giving programs, communicate regularly with donors to confirm their matching and employee giving intentions, and help educate donors about matching and employee giving programs. Complete entry and acknowledgment for matching and employee giving program gifts.
  • Respond to recurring donation requests and manage all recurring gifts to Marist School.
  • Respond promptly to donor requests, questions, and concerns received via phone, email, and mail. Under the direction of the Director of Advancement Services, undertake regular initiatives to verify donor commitments and intentions.
  • Perform constituent research to aid in prospect identification and engagement strategies.
  • Assist with entry and maintenance of constituent data for individuals and organizations in RE following best practices and data entry guidelines. Notify Advancement Office staff of important updates. Perform database audits as directed.
  • Enter returned mail address corrections and other change of address notifications in RE.
  • Under the direction of the Director of Advancement Services, communicate data updates to colleagues to ensure continuity between multiple databases on campus.
  • As needed, assist with recognition programs and stewardship reporting.
  • Scan and file donor information as per the OIA filing policy. Assist with production and filing of pledge reminders three times yearly.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Advancement Services.
  • Provide administrative support for OIA large mailings, events, and other projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1-3 years of office experience, preferably in development.
  • Experience with RE database preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent judgment and an ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of motivation and focus.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines and work independently as an effective member of a team.

The hours for this position are generally 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend commitments. This is a year-round staff position.
