Carolina Friends School is seeking a thoughtful, collaborative Assistant Head of School for Teaching and Learning. Working with the head of school, unit (division) heads, and staff, the position will be crucial in the School’s development of core teaching and learning initiatives that are driven by the School’s pedagogical beliefs and values. A member of the School’s senior leadership team, the Assistant Head of School for Teaching and Learning will have key responsibilities for facilitating strategic academic initiatives, including teacher pedagogy and professional growth and support for curriculum design and implementation.

The Assistant Head of School for Teaching and Learning will work collaboratively with the School’s leadership team, approximately 120 staff members, and the greater learning community to deliver the School’s mission by nurturing a diverse and inclusive community of learners and fostering the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and physical development of each student.
