Job Description

Coordinator Campus Ministry

The Coordinator of Campus Ministry’s main job is to offer logistical support for the Campus Ministry Department in Pinecrest, and facilitate communications regarding campus ministry events, spiritual and apostolic reflections for the school community.

Position Overview

  1. The Coordinator of Campus Ministry is accountable to the Director of Formation.
  2. The Coordinator of Campus Ministry is responsible for:

Campus ministry event logistics, grade level retreat logistics, managing the Campus Ministry department budget, coordination of liturgical events with the sacristan team, and communication of campus ministry events.

3.The Coordinator of Campus Ministry generally:

  • serves as part Campus Ministry Department
  • works closely with campus ministers (priests, consecrated, and parent and staff volunteers)
  • facilitates understanding of the work and role of Campus Ministry within the school

4.The Coordinator of Campus Ministry maintains close communication with:

    • the Formation Director
    • the Campus Ministers in each school
    • the Challenge Club and ConQuest club directors
    • the communication director

5. The Coordinator of Campus Ministry has no direct reports

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience: Experience in schools and parish or youth ministry; considerable contact with the Regnum Christi charism in order to assure that the spirit with which these tasks are fulfilled are in keeping with the spirit of the school
  • Certifications, licenses, or registrations: Safe Environment certificate
  • Special knowledge, skills or abilities: motivated self-starter; excellent verbal and written communication skills, disciplined organizational skills, and appreciation and understanding of the liturgy and sacraments.

Specific Responsibilities

  1. Campus ministry event & grade level retreat logistics
    1. CM events (vocations week, catholic schools week, vocations cafe, ski and camping trips, CM monthly meetings, formation opportunities for faculty and staff, support of DC trip, etc.)
    2. Finding and booking locations
    3. Booking Transportation
    4. Ordering Food
    5. Sending communication to the relevant audiences
    6. General coordination of CM volunteer moms/ parents as support
    7. Retreat logistics (5th – 12th grade annual retreats)
      • Finding and booking locations
      • Transportation
      • Food
      • Medical forms and first aid kits
      • Permission forms and explanation letters to parents of respective grades
      • General coordination of CM volunteer moms/ parents as support

2. Communication regarding all Campus Ministry events and priorities in collaboration with the interim director of Campus          Ministry.

3. Managing the Campus Ministry department budget

    1. Manage campus ministry budget and POs, keeping consistency across programs
      • CM expenses for activities
      • ConQuest boys activities
      • Challenge girls activities
      • Spirit club activities

4. Coordination of liturgical events with the sacristan team, chaplains and facilities

    1. All school masses
    2. Weekly school masses (5 masses)
    3. Use of chapels on campus
    4. Chapel supplies and needs
    5. Adoration coordination
      • Adorer sign ups and coordination of replacements
      • Communication with sacristan for set up, etc.

5. Communication of campus ministry events

    • Letters and communications
    • CM reminders and blog
    • Collaboration in school-wide apostolic projects (i.e. Elves for Shelves canned food drive, Keep Christ in Christmas)
