The Director of Entrepreneurial Leadership oversees entrepreneurship programs and other associated signature experiences at FRA. The director is both the strategic leader of these programs and a practitioner, teaching the Capstone Business Entrepreneurship course and introductory coursework. As a leader, the director should actively cultivate partnerships throughout the Nashville community and constantly be seeking to improve and expand entrepreneurial programming from pre-K through 12th grade. The director works most closely with the upper school but also works with the middle school and lower school division heads. The director reports to the Head of School.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and manage relationships with local individuals, parents, alumni, and organizations who support the FRA Entrepreneurial Leadership program through mentoring students, serving as guest instructors, sharing information, expanding networks and providing funding
  • Design, plan, and implement events to support the FRA Entrepreneurial Leadership program, including year-end showcases, capstones, or competitions
  • Teach courses in the FRA Entrepreneurial Leadership program.
  • Manage the relationship with Uncharted Learning
  • Manage the budget for the FRA Entrepreneurial Leadership program
  • Identify and develop opportunities to promote the FRA Entrepreneurial Leadership program
  • Oversee the application/interview process for students interested in the program

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience as an entrepreneur
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • A passion for the FRA mission
  • Collaborative community builder
  • Upper school or middle school teaching experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work after school and some evenings
