Greenfield School is accepting applications for its next Head of School.

The Head of School of Greenfield School will be tasked with overseeing a vibrant academic community that aims to provide each student with the foundation to achieve their maximum potential.  The Head of School will be responsible for ascribing to our mission of cultivating and nurturing students in academic, social, physical, and moral aspects of their development through formative years. Ensuring high levels of scholarship within a framework of a multifaceted program will be an integral part of the Head of School’s job. The Head of School will be a steward of the vision of Greenfield School among the students, families, teachers, administrative staff, and community of Wilson.  The Head of School will serve as a strong advocate for Greenfield and will be instrumental in implementing a strategic plan for the future of our school.

The Role of the next Head of School:

Strategic Priorities :

*Articulate a clear vision for the School

*Promote growth of Greenfield School

*Strengthen relationships with alumni

*Create a long-term financial plan

*Oversee the execution of Greenfield School’s strategic plan, including facilities improvement and expansion

*Foster relationships for fundraising

Duties:

*Oversee day to day operations of the school, working closely with the administration team and the Board of Trustees

*Handle matters of employment including hiring, training, and evaluating employees

*Appraise the performance of the staff and provides avenues for professional growth of the teachers and staff of the school

*Provide guidance and oversight to the Director of Admissions and Advancement

*Develop and implement curriculum and guidelines, ensuring full compliance with all educational standards of the state and accrediting agencies

*Prepare and implement an annual budget and long-range plan for financial stability

*Establish disciplinary policies and standards of conduct for students and faculty

*Evaluate and maintain a safe learning and working environment for students and faculty and staff

Qualifications:

*Master’s degree in education preferred

*Five years teaching experience and/or administrative experience

*Established success in managing personnel

Characteristics:

*Exhibits excellence in organizational leadership and management

*Understands fiscal supervision

*Demonstrates aptitude for identifying and implementing best educational practices

*Advocates for continuous improvement in education through staff development, curriculum development and implementation, and the development of measurable goals and objectives for these areas

*Shows strong and effective interpersonal communication skills and can work productively and collaboratively with all constituents including students, faculty, parents, administrative staff, board members, and community

*Possesses integrity, open-mindedness, passion for learning, enthusiasm, sense of humor, and the ability to inspire excellence and commitment
