Instructional Technology Teacher

Memphis University School (MUS), a school for boys in grades 7-12 in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking a full-time Instructional Technology Teacher. This position is available immediately.



  • Teach various technology skills lessons and courses to students at all grade levels
  • Teach basic mastery of commonplace productivity apps and skills (e.g., word processing, spreadsheet, oral report presentation, file management, audio/video editing)
  • Teach fundamentals of coding/programming
  • Develop and maintain digital training resources for students and staff
  • Provide technology professional development sessions for faculty and staff
  • Provide technology support to students and staff
  • Plan and prepare lessons and instructional strategies
  • Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and resources and make recommendations as appropriate
  • Attend required meetings, keep records, and prepare and file reports as required and directed by the school
  • Create a learning environment that is safe, positive, and caring, and that fosters active involvement of all students
  • Collaborate within and across departments to enhance the mission of the school
  • Actively engage in the life of the school community and extracurricular programs


The ideal applicant will possess the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree
  • A minimum of three to five years teaching experience in a secondary setting
  • Experience using PC (Windows) and Macintosh computers and tablets
  • Experience integrating classroom technology and explaining to others
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving minor technical issues
  • Experience with Microsoft software products including, but not limited to, Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of various Learning Management Systems, specifically Blackbaud
  • Experience in an all-male school environment
