St. Anne’s-Belfield School seeks a full-time teacher of a Grades K -4 homeroom class for the 2022-23 school year. A homeroom teacher in Grades K – 4 is responsible for morning meetings in the philosophy of Responsive Classroom and homeroom instruction including guided reading and word study, writing workshop, social studies, and Singapore math instruction. The ideal candidate is a relational educator who seeks to stimulate deep critical thinking and creativity and promote agency. We seek a growth-minded educator who thrives in a collaborative approach to curriculum design, instruction, and pedagogy and has both interest in and experience with student-initiated and standards-based learning and assessment. Full time elementary school teaching experience, familiarity with learning management systems, strong classroom management skills, and a love for teaching young children are required. A master’s degree in reading, math, or education is preferred. St. Anne’s-Belfield affirms the enduring value of educating the whole child.
